We are based in Nottingham in the UK, and we aim to give a voice to this important issue. We welcome contributions and involvement in many different ways. Here are some quick ideas:
Stay in touch with us.
The best way is via social media - just click on the icons at the top of the page.
The more people we can reach, the more friendships can be supported through difficult times, so please "like" and "share" and "tweet" and "insta" on the world wide web when something we post catches your eye.
You don't know when you or a friend may benefit from this resource, but when you do, it'll be here.
It'll also be fun.
Share your thoughts on friendship and mental health recovery.
You can do this in many ways: Reflection (a picture, a song, a poem, a video), intellectual (such as sharing research articles), or get in touch to discuss a way of sharing your story. We are looking for writers for our blog - one post will do if that's what you can spare!
If you have something you'd like to share on the website, please contact us at [email protected]
Partnership working.
If you're an organisation interested in our work, get in touch with a proposal about how we could work together to develop resources for friendships. Please contact us at [email protected]
Mark the importance of friendship and mental health recovery.
You could organise or join in events that mark the International Day of Friendship on 30th July, or World Mental Health Day on 10th October. Or both together!
Volunteer.
We need help! If you want to devote some time this year to work to your strengths with us - whether helping out with publicity, writing articles, providing resources for Kick Back Clubs - please contact us at [email protected]
Donate/fundraise.
This means we can do even more work! Any donations will go towards fulfilling our aims as no-one is paid.
